Estonia is rich in forest. However, today a majority of harvested pulp wood and saw mill chips are exported mainly to Finland and Sweden, as a raw material without adding any value to the wood. The planned biorefinery would create long-term benefits for Estonia, moving the Estonian forestry industry to a new level and improving the sector’s sustainability.

We worked closely with Est-For to explain how their planned new biorefinery will help Estonian economy and how it addresses all the ecological and other issues that concern the public.
